Checklist for the visit to your healthcare professional
Your healthcare professional should ask you about how much you drink and urinate. You will also be asked to complete a Bladder Diary.
Read through and complete the Nocturia questionnaires and Bladder Diary, and take them with you to your appointment. These materials have been especially designed by the International Continence Society (ICS), a UK-based charity dedicated to improving quality of life for people with urological conditions worldwide. This will help communicate your needs to your healthcare professional and speed up the process of getting the right treatment for you.
Your healthcare professional will also want to know if you are taking any medication currently. If you are, write the details down and take them with you, so that you can let your healthcare professional know.
